From the beginning of the term 3 until the end of term 3, I learnt so many things in the music class. The topic of this term is popular vs. classical music.
Before I don’t really know detail about popular music and classical music. But Mr. Herry wanted us to research about popular and classical music. He also wanted us to make a report of minimum 10 pages about popular and classical music.
I learnt so many things about this topic. Now, I know about composer, artist, history, instrumental, and music instrument of classic and popular music. I also can know the differences and similarities between both music eras.
During the class Mr. Herry also want us to learn about the song “You Got a Friend” and also “Indonesia Pusaka”.
During the instrument class, I had picked one song which was “Minuet in G” and I had to learn to play it using the piano for the next assessment. I had to improve my ability to read nots. So, that I can play piano better.
I also learnt about notation and chord. I learnt about major scale and also minor natural and harmonic. After I learnt and understand all of them, I made a music composition based on chord. I also add a lyric in to my song.
Over all I learnt about classical and popular music and how to make a music composition that I haven’t got before. I think I need to improve my ability in music instrument class by learning how to read not well and quick...
